2026 RACE SEASON
RACER REGISTRATION
Everything you need to get registered and race-ready for the RMSHA Hill Climb season. Follow the steps below to complete your registration.
GETTING STARTED
THREE STEPS TO RACE-READY
Every racer needs to complete all three steps before hitting the hill. Whether you're a returning member or brand new to RMSHA, here's what's required.
ISR LICENSE & INSURANCE
01
Obtain your ISR annual or single-event license and insurance coverage through ISR Racing. This is mandatory for all racers — no exceptions. You must have proof of valid ISR coverage at every event.
RMSHA MEMBERSHIP
02
Purchase your RMSHA annual membership or pay the single-event fee. Annual members choose their race number and are eligible for season points, new-member classes, and year-end awards.
SIGN UP FOR EVENTS
03
Enter individual race events through the RMSHA website. Event registration opens 3 weeks before each event and closes the Monday prior. All entries and fees must be paid online.
ISR LICENSE IS REQUIRED
During RMSHA registration, you will be directed to ISRracing.org to complete all required ISR waivers and obtain your annual or single-event insurance. You cannot race without a valid ISR license and insurance — this is an ISR and RMSHA requirement.
Bring your proof of coverage to every event.
MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
CHOOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
All racers must read, agree to, and electronically sign the RMSHA Code of Conduct before registering each year.

RACE NUMBER RESERVATION
Annual members select an available race number when they register (no letters, symbols, or numbers starting with zero). Your number is reserved for 12 months from your last paid annual membership. After that period, it becomes available to others.
NEW MEMBER INFO
You are considered a new member during the first year you purchase an annual membership. New members are eligible for dedicated New Member classes offered at events scheduled before Jackson each season. Placing in the top 3 of a New Member class earns you one entry to the World Championship Hillclimb in Jackson (maximum of 3 entries per new member from these classes). New Member classes are considered specialty classes and can be entered in addition to your regular class entries. If you previously held an RMSHA annual membership, you must be a non-member for at least 5 consecutive years before you qualify as a new member again. Note: If your annual membership fee is paid after the New Member classes have ended for the season, you are not eligible to race New Member classes the following season.

JUNIOUR & YOUTH RACERS
JUNIOR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
All junior racers must complete the same ISR and RMSHA registration process. Additional requirements apply for racers under 18.
Age verification is mandatory. Racers 17 and under must provide an original or state-issued certified copy of their birth certificate. Racers age 18 must provide either a birth certificate or valid driver's license. Membership will not be valid without proof of age — fees will be refunded.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the minor release waiver form online through ISRracing.org and should be on-site at all race events.
JUNIOR JUNIORS
AGES 12 - 13
Racers ages 12–13 compete in their own class and cannot race in the 14–17 Junior class or Amateur classes. They are also not permitted to race at the Afton Hillclimb.
The 12–13 class is split into two point systems: Junior 12–13 and Junior Second Run 12–13, each with a separate $100 entry fee. Maximum sled size is 650cc stock. OEM Stock sleds in Ski-Doo 850, Arctic Cat 858, and Polaris 850/9R are permitted with the OEM/ISR approved throttle block.
Juniors 14–17 can race in both the Junior class and Amateur classes. Maximum sled size is 650cc stock, except for ages 16–17 who can run up to 900cc in Amateur classes (no turbo/supercharger/nitrous).
Juniors 14–15 riding OEM Stock sleds (Ski-Doo 850, Arctic Cat 858, Polaris 850/9R) are allowed with the OEM/ISR throttle block. At age 16, racers may petition to move up to Semi-Pro (resume required, submitted to RMSHA President 30 days prior).
2026 rule: Competitors must indicate at registration the brand, model, and track length of the sled to be used for the event. Changing sleds during an event for different classes/levels is no longer allowed.
JUNIORS
AGES 14 - 17
YOUTH RACERS
120 & 200
All 120 and 200 class racers must register with ISR for an annual or single-event membership, sign all required insurance and competition waivers, and purchase an RMSHA annual or single-event membership. All entries must be made through the designated website.
2026 TRANSITIONAL YEAR NOTICE
Beginning in the 2027 race season, a minimum track length of 144" will be required in Junior, Junior Junior, and Amateur classes — this will make Sno-X sleds ineligible in those classes. RMSHA and ISR will revisit after the 2026 season.
EVENT REGISTRATION
ENTERING RACE EVENTS
All race entries must be made online through the RMSHA website. Event registration opens 3 weeks before the event start date and closes the Monday prior to the event. (Jackson World Championship has separate deadlines — contact Snow Devils directly.)
It is your responsibility to verify your entries are correct for each event. Check the race event listing on the RMSHA website to confirm your classes — no exceptions will be made for incorrect entries.
Refunds are only available if you notify RMSHA that you cannot compete before registration closes.
Sled VIN required: When registering for event classes, you must enter the VIN number of each sled you are racing for the appropriate class.
