The 2026 RMSHA season returns to the beautiful Soldier Mountain Ski Area, near Fairfield, Idaho! Due to weather related problems RMSHA has been forced to push the Soldier Mountain race to February 27th & 28th.

RMSHA 2026 Season Opener at Soldier Mountain Ski Area
We are thrilled to announce that the Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) will kick off the 2026 season at Soldier Mountain Ski Area in Fairfield, Idaho. Join us on Feb 26, 27, 28, 2026, for an exhilarating weekend of snowmobile hillclimb racing at this historic location. This has been changed to a 3 Day Race because it will be a single-lane race.

Established in 1948, Soldier Mountain Ski Area is nestled in the Soldier Mountains of the Sawtooth National Forest. With a summit elevation of 7,177 feet and a vertical drop of 1,425 feet, the resort offers 1,150 acres of diverse terrain, including 36 runs suitable for all skill levels. Known for its friendly atmosphere and rich history, Soldier Mountain provides a unique and intimate setting for both participants and spectators.
