2008-2009 ISR Rule Changes/Additions
  • Upcoming soon...

2009 Important Highlights
  • THIS HAS CHANGED, PLEASE READ.
Two racers will be allowed to share 1 sled under the following rules. All sleds must display both racer/bib numbers, these numbers must be permanently affixed to the cowling of the sled and must be a minimum of 4 inch height. A sled may be shared by ONLY 2 racers in the same class. Both racers must fill out a form with all necessary information for each race and give to RMSHA tech stating the sled's serial number as well as the two racers who wish to share the sled. Both racer/bib numbers must be clearly displayed and permanently attached to the windshield and/or cowling of the sled in question. It will be the responsibility of each racer to notify the timers and tech of the sharing. If this is not done, it could result in disqualification for both racers in that class. The racer or a representative needs to be in the tech area throughout the class to represent that sled.
  • Each race day will begin with a mandatory drivers meeting; Any racer who violates any rule set forth at drivers meeting will be subject to disqualification, to be determined by the RMSHA Executive Committee.
  • RMSHA will no longer accept personal checks for membership or entry fees, these must be paid by money order or certified check.
  • Fuel will be tested using a Digitron DT15 meter. The DT15 will be set and calibrated at minus 75 (-75). If a reading falls between 0 (zero) and -90 (minus 90), the fuel passes the test. If the reading does not fall within this range, the fuel sample does not pass. If the fuel sample does not pass, 3 (three) samples of 4oz (four ounces) each will be immediately collected from the sled and will be marked and sealed. These samples will be tested again the same day with the racer present. Fuel testing will be made available to racers prior to racing. Appeals will be filed within 60 minutes of any disciplinary action taken and will be resolved by the end of the final class on the same day. The above has been adopted by RMSHA as fuel testing procedure.
  • RMSHA, Bib Number and appropriate sponsor logo must all appear on your Race Jersey if you do not purchase a bib. SLP will be our bib sponsor again this year. Any racer without this information may face disqualification. Absolutely no excuses or exceptions.
  • Sled race numbers need to be permanently affixed to both sides of the sled with a minimum of 4 inches. If this sled is being shared, both race numbers must be affixed to sled. All sleds must display both racer/bib numbers, these numbers must be permanently affixed to the windshield and/or cowling of the sled and must be a minimum of 4 inch height.
  • GATE RULING: a racer will be marked at a gate if either pole is dislodged or the flag is knocked off either pole by the racer or the sled. If you do not clearly understand this rule, please talk to the race director or a member of the Board of Directors for clarification.
  • NO CELL PHONES are allowed on the race course at any event by a racer or crew member. Racer will be disqualified from further activities at that event if found in violation
  • Racers under age 18 can petition to move up to pro providing they meet all the criteria and sign the proper forms
  • No one under the age of 14 will be allowed in the pit area
  • PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND YOUR ISR RULEBOOK!!
